Penny Dickinson

Experimenting with many different art mediums over the years, I have found my love to be glass and jewelry. After several years in ceramics, I began fusing glass in 2003, making pendants and bracelets. This was the beginning of my journey into jewelry. I sought out classes and workshops learning metal clay, wire wrapping, jewelry making, and finally lampworking. Like ceramics, lampworking is a skill developed over time that allows me to experiment with color, design and technique. After creating my beads I enjoy designing jewelry using a variety of techniques I’ve learned and feel that I’ve only scratched the surface of possibilities.

In addition to being a member of Women at the Edge, I’m currently the Moderator for the Arizona Society of Glass Beadmakers and a member of the Int’l Society of Glass Beadmakers, PMC Guild, Art Clay Society and Glass Art Society. I contribute to the Beads of Courage charity and I am working on the 1st Annual ASGB calendar to benefit the Beads of Courage.

I currently sell my beads and jewelry at various Art Shows.
